How does laser hair removal work?
Unlike IPL, SHR/diode lasers deliver multiple light pulses in rapid succession at low energy levels. The follicular area is heated slowly and at low energy levels to a skin-friendly temperature (42°C).
The device glides over the skin and no longer delivers individual 'shots' (as with IPL).
Basically, the wavelength of the laser reaches precisely the root at a certain depth of the skin (depending on the wavelength) but the melanin in the hair also directs the energy into the hair follicle.
The entire follicle zone thus suffers heat damage: the protein is destroyed, and the root can no longer be nourished. As a result, it dies and then falls out.
With SHR lasers, the
What are the benefits of the latest 3-wave diode laser technology?
The 3 different wavelengths in one device make the difference!
In the past, people only worked with one at a time.
The most common was the diode laser with its wavelength of 808nm.
Now the wavelengths of the Alexandrite laser (755nm) and the Nd:YAG laser (1064nm) are combined in one device and are used in every treatment.
This means that lighter, finer hair and darker skin types can now also be treated!
Which areas can be treated?
Whatever you want. Anything's possible.
What do you feel during the treatment?
Compared to conventional IPL and laser devices, the treatment is considerably more comfortable. In areas with dense hair or sensitive skin, a slight burning sensation may be felt, but thanks to the extra-strong cooling system, it never gets too hot and is therefore more than bearable.
Thanks to the powerful power of our laser, it's no longer necessary to repeatedly move the laser over the same area of skin. The skin is hardly irritated, and the tissue isn't damaged.

How long does a treatment take?
This depends on the size of the area. It varies from 15 minutes to 2 hours (full body).
How many treatments are necessary? How often should they be spaced?
The ideal interval between treatments is approximately 6-8 weeks (depending on the area), as this corresponds to the hair growth cycle.
The reason for this lies in the hair growth cycle: The laser only works on hairs that are in the active growth phase (anagen phase) . Since not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, multiple sessions are required.
The interval between treatments is typically 4 to 6 weeks for the body and approximately 2 to 4 weeks for the face. This allows for targeted treatment of the hair during its growth phase. Depending on skin and hair type, as well as the treated area, the interval can be individually adjusted. However, it depends on the individual. Regular adherence to the treatment plan is crucial to achieving the desired results. Those with patience will be rewarded with smooth skin! While 8 to 10 treatments were previously necessary, with this new technology, the desired result can be achieved in just 4 to 6 treatments.
What role does skin, hair color and hair thickness play?
Lighter skin with dark hair responds best to the treatment.
However, with the 3-wavelength technology, the protein in stem cells is targeted in addition to melanin. This means that even dark skin types and fine, low-pigment hair can be successfully treated.
What should be considered before treatment?
It's best to shave the desired area one day before laser treatment. The hairs should just stick out, so that it's no longer baby-straight. The laser needs contact with the hair to work optimally. However, with longer hairs lying flat on the skin, it may generate more heat, which would be less pleasant.
The area to be treated should be free of makeup, lotions, deodorants, or perfume. You should also avoid applying self-tanner.
Please do not pluck or wax for at least four weeks before treatment. A plucked hair root means an empty hair follicle, and the laser cannot destroy this.
You should also avoid sun exposure for 2 days beforehand, as sunburned skin cannot be treated immediately.
What should I pay attention to after the treatment?
Avoid sun or solarium for at least 3 – 4 days .
The skin’s natural sun protection is after the intensive light treatment namely
slightly reduced. If you do, please be sure to apply sunscreen with SPF 30-50.
Do I need to take a summer break?
The new lasers are much more gentle than the outdated systems, so strict
A summer break, as was previously the case, is no longer necessary. Nevertheless, you should be careful and avoid exposing yourself to direct sunlight without protection.
Are there any side effects?
Laser treatment is generally very low-risk.
However, every person and every skin type is very individual and therefore no treatment is risk-free.
Some parts of the body may also be more sensitive than others, and redness of the skin may occur. This usually subsides after a few hours, but can also persist for a few days, like a mild sunburn.
What results can you expect?
Scientific studies have shown that with the latest generation of lasers, very good results can be achieved after the end of the treatment (8 – 10 sessions) .
However, humans have fine hair all over their bodies. When hormone levels change (which can be due to age or illness), new hairs can become a nuisance. In women, this often happens during menopause or when stopping the contraceptive pill.
Therefore, unfortunately, no one and no method can guarantee 100% hair removal forever.
We hope this gives you a little overview. Of course, it's much more complex, but we hope it still helps you a little.
